Demian Solano was born in Mexico City in 1975, where he lived until the age of ten. Because of his father’s diplomatic career, he had the fantastic opportunity to travel and discover the world while growing up. Throughout his formative years, he visited over 27 countries, and lived in Austria, Venezuela and Zimbabwe, before coming to Belize in 1995, where he made a permanent home. His travels continuously nurtured his interest in the creative arts, and he developed a special admiration and respect for nature and cultures. Demian has traveled extensively throughout Belize, and has made a serious effort to document the country’s natural charm and beauty on film. Some of Demian’s work has been featured in the Destination Belize Magazine, as well as in a variety of commercial web and print advertising, including projects for the Belize Tourism Board. Photography has become his passion, and this, the beginning of the journey. With his ongoing involvement in creative work, he established a full-service advertising agency, IdeaLab Studios. He hopes to one day get involved in cinematography. E-mail: demiansolano@gmail.com
